Transformations 3.0 at the U.S. Open. For our second year of painting tennis faces for the wonderful Arthur Ashe Kids Day event that begins US Open week here in NY we focused on using cartoon techniques to paint images of tennis players on people’s faces. We had twelve artists at this year’s event, and painted a lot of faces. Most of these are my own examples, in which I was painting a caricature of each person onto their face in action playing tennis, plus some playful ideas like the ball being hit by a racket.
